STATESVILLE, N.C. — Doosan Portable Power participated in the first-ever benefit auction at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) held Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in Louisville, Kentucky. Doosan Portable Power donated a C185G portable air compressor, which received a top bid of $7,500. The winning bid was placed by John Lindeman, owner of Aquaman Irrigation, a lawn and landscape irrigation business based in South Lyon, Michigan. The C185G received the highest bid amount of all the items at the auction. In total, the auction raised $29,575 for the Call of Duty Endowment, an organization that helps connect military veterans with job opportunities — including employment in the construction and utility sectors. “Being part of the ICUEE benefit auction is a win for all involved,” said Mike Ballweber, president of Doosan Portable Power. “Military veterans need good jobs, and the construction industry needs good workers. Plus, Aquaman Irrigation gets a reliable air compressor to help its business.” Doosan Portable Power is committed to giving back based on the “Doosan Way” — an organizational principle that links all Doosan Infracore employees’ values to a management system focused on community and social responsibility. At the heart of the Doosan Way is the idea that being a good corporate citizen is an ongoing responsibility.
