Powerblanket Lite PBL30 30 Gallon Drum and Barrel Heaters
Powerblanket’s 30-gallon drum heaters provide a range of heating solutions for warming and storing temperature-sensitive materials. Our patented design eliminates hot and cold spots by applying uniform full-coverage heat across the entire surface of the container, allowing users to keep their materials at the proper viscosity while remaining at specified thermal levels. Each drum heater can be equipped with either an adjustable or a fixed thermostat. The 30-gallon drum heater comes in two voltages: 120 volts and 240 volts. Choose between three different thermal rating classes:
PBL30: The PBL30 is an insulated band-style barrel / drum heater specifically designed to fit a 30 gallon drum. The heater is built for use with 120 volts AC, drawing 2.3 amps thus producing 280 watts. It has a preset thermostat set for maximum product temperatures of up to 145 ºF / 63 ºC (± 10 ºF / 5 ºC). One band on the drum will usually run cooler than 145 °F because it only covers part of the barrel. Placing a second PBL30 further up on the drum, above the first PBL30, will generally decrease the time to heat and increase the maximum temperature your product reaches. Sometimes one is good enough, other times you might want to use two. The PBL30 band style drum heaters allow you to safely control the temperature of expensive chemicals and other fluids; it delivers a barrier of uniform directional heat where it’s needed most – preventing fluids from freezing and maintaining optimal temperatures.
