Powerblanket’s 55-gallon drum heaters provide a range of heating solutions for warming and storing temperature-sensitive materials. Our patented design eliminates hot and cold spots by applying uniform full-coverage heat across the entire surface of the container, allowing users to keep their materials at the proper viscosity while remaining at specified thermal levels. Each drum heater can be equipped with either an adjustable or a fixed thermostat. Our 55-gallon drum heater comes in two voltages: 120 volts and 240 volts. Choose between four different thermal rating classes.

The PBL55F is an insulated full coverage drum heater specifically designed to fit a 55 gallon drum and encasing it fully in Powerblanket's patented tough vinyl heating cover. The heater is built for use with 120 volts AC, drawing 3.33 amps thus producing 400 watts. It has a preset thermostat set to maintain up to a maximum 145 ºF / 62.8 ºC (± 5 ºF/3 ºC). The PBL55F full-coverage drum heaters allow you to safely control the temperature of expensive chemicals and other fluids; it delivers a barrier of directional heat where it’s needed most, the bottom 2/3rds of the drum, while still insulating the top third to help retain the heat – preventing fluids from freezing and maintaining optimal temperatures. This innovative heat-spreading technology insulates, protects and maintains heat in a wide variety of applications.
