Position Summary:
The HVAC Service Manager will quote, plan, implement, oversee, and evaluate the maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration equipment; will oversee customer accounts and technicians; and will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new customers.

Job Duties:

• Mentors and oversees our team of technicians providing ongoing training, support, and performance feedback.
• Supervise and direct field technicians to effectively perform the functions of equipment repair, maintenance, start-up, operation, and other duties as required to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Meet with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention as well as prospects for additional service opportunities.
• Identifies and locates new customers through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
• Consults with customers and follows up on leads to identify and understand their service and product needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
• Answers inquiries regarding product options, availability, cost, lead times, and scope of work.
• Answers inquiries from customers concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
• Obtains information, prepares quotes and/or contracts that are competitive and profitable, and presents information to building and business owners. This includes emergency repair, regular maintenance contracts, scheduled work and upgrades, installations, replacement components, and long-term service agreements.
• Enters projects, orders parts, tracks parts, schedules labor internally with AES Operations Manager and with customer, reviews completion of projects, and coordinates with AES Operations Manager on billing.
• Collaborates with AES Operations Manager and technicians to confirm that quotes and orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly and timely.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Collaborates with Director of Human Resources to recruit, interview, hire, and train new technicians as required to meet workload demands, and company or customer expectations and requirements.
• May prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Strong technical background in diagnostic skills on all residential and commercial HVAC equipment and commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks, calls & projects timely.
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to navigate Field Service Management, QuickBooks, and other business applications.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• At least ten years of working knowledge and understanding of commercial HVAC systems & refrigeration required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or related field OR at least ten years of related experience required.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.
• EPA certification preferred.

​Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Ability to work in the field independently or alongside technicians on equipment.
• Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders to access job sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Travel to meet with clients or potential clients.
• Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms.
• May be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions during the site visits based on location.
